Facilities Development - Forward Vision

The club has ambitious plans for the development of playing facilities.  Many matches are played using pitches across Thornbury and local villages, the plan is to bring more of these into a central location at the Mundy Playing fields using a mixture of club funds and grants available via other agencies, for example the Football Foundation.  The following table provides an overview of these plans and progress made to date.

Phase 1 - Purchase of Poulterbrook Land acquired by Thornbury Town Council in 2005, which includes an environmental area ACHIEVED      
Phase 2 - Development of pitches at Poulterbrook Creating two pitches, one for U16s and U15s and one junior 9v9 pitch, along with the nature walk as required by the Council. The site will need a drainage system along with an amount of ground levelling work.
In July 2015 the club announced that, in conjunction with Thornbury Town Council, it had been boosted by the news that they are to receive a £86,520 grant from the Premier League and The FA Facilities Fund, which is delivered by the Football Foundation and provides grants towards developing new or refurbished grassroots football facilities.  The press release can be read here.

Phase 3 - Hard Standing Spectator, hard standing around three sides of the current playing area of the main pitch. Spring 2018      
Phase 4 - Floodlights on Senior Main Pitch Main pitch would require floodlights to achieve playing in a higher league for the provision of evening matches during certain times of the year in the current league. Summer 2018 c£50,000    
Phase 5 - Provision of a spectator stand The provision of a spectator stand and fence to enable the Club to progress to a higher level. Summer 2018 c£20,000    
Phase 6 - Re-develop changing facilities at the Mundy PF The existing changing facilities at the Mundy, currently home to the senior teams require complete refurbishment, with new flooring, walls and shower facilities etc. A part of the Tractor Shed could be converted to provide additional changing facilities. Spring 2019 c£10,000
